Bala Alkali, popularly known by his fans as Bally Ranks. Born 16th Dec. 1974 in the tranquil heart of zankan, A native of zankan in Jema'a L.G.A. of Kaduna state, Nigeria.
He started his primary education at the tender age of six (6) at L.E.A. primary school zankan,where he got his first knowledge on how to read, write and speak good english language. In 1988, young Bally got admitted into secondary school and later got admitted in the school of accountancy where he then completed his school career with the destined to be a humble and God fearing ambassador of peace, in the entire neighbourhood.
Within and after his secondary school career, young Bally mingles with some top Nigeria reggae presenters in presenting not only on radio but hosting the crowd as a master of the ceremonies (M.C.) in occassions such as; Birthdays parties, cocktails, wedding ceremonies, musical concerts/shows and in so many activities involved in the showbiz world.
Bally Ranks who was diligent and committed to his job and as a result he was opportuned to have share the mic alongside famous on air personalities around the globe like; Late Lt. Stagger, Edward Simple Simon (buju), Mr. Buzzer, D.j. Timmy Bantan, Sterry J, Pupa J, Alpasino Bwai and host of many others only to be mention but few.
With the emergence of Bally in the showbiz industry, he has uses his wisdom and titillating voice on radio to empowered the youth and creating awareness on the implication of the dreaded HIV/AIDS, that has been rendering so many children orphans and caursing shattered homes. He chooses radio presentation as a career of sort, and as an ambassador of peace he organises shows that brings about peace and unity among the youth, and lureing them musically to stay away from social vices.
Bally Ranks is currently anchoring the reggae train in the heart of Kafanchan on Rockside 89.9 FM on Monday's, Wednesday's and on Friday's respectively, and with the aim of keeping reggae music alive.
